How can companies understand the value of nature and society and include this valuation in their business decisions? To support companies in becoming more acquainted with nature valuation, we have been asked by Capitals Coalition and World Business Council of Sustainable Development (as part of the We Value Nature campaign) to develop an online training course on this topic.
The beta testing of the online training: “Valuing people and nature into business decision-making” is now in full swing! More than 50 professionals, working in various market sectors around the world, are now following the test version of the training.
In the coming weeks we will work with the provided input to improve the training’s suitability to the target audience of companies, financial institutions and other organizations that want to better understand their relationship with nature and society and aim to include natural and social factors into their decisions. Because it is clear that nature and society have value for companies and that companies can also positively impact their natural and social environments.
The training will be officially launched on March 24 at 15:00 (CET). Mark Gough, CEO of the Capitals Coalition, will kick off the meeting and discuss the importance of this training from the viewpoint of sustainable transitions in business. A short explanation will then follow on the background and structure of the training. Frontrunners will attend the training too and will happily share their experiences on how integrating natural, social and human capital can lead to better decision-making processes.
